You're invited to participate in the Casco Bay Heat Pump Challenge, an exciting new initiative to help you and other residents in the Greater Portland region save on your energy bill, improve the comfort of your home, and reduce your carbon footprint through installing cold climate heat pumps.

New, high-efficiency cold climate heat pumps are a great way for you to reduce your heating oil bill while also improving the comfort of your home. Reducing your dependence on heating oil can not only help you keep your heating bill down and reduce the hit to your wallet when inevitably go up, but can also help you to reduce your family's carbon footprint. Plus they also offer high-efficiency air conditioning to keep you comfortable for the hottest summer days.

Mainers around the state have installed over 20,000 heat pumps in just the last few years!

At Challenge events, you'll get the chance to learn from home energy experts about how heat pumps and other home efficiency upgrades can help you save on your energy bill and become more comfortable year-round (as well as tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your heat pump). Other homeowners from the region will share their experiences with heat pumps. Representatives from Efficiency Maine will also be on hand to help explain the thousands of dollars worth of rebates and financing options available to help you reduce your energy bill.

The Challenge organizers have also selected a few of Efficiency Maine’s vendors with great track records of fair, competitive pricing and good customer service. These installers—Dyer Electric, Goggin Energy, Pine State Services, ReVision Energy, and ReVision Heat—are providing special event-only discounts to people who sign up for a free site visit at Challenge events and move forward with a home installation (with an extra discount if enough attendees install a heat pump).
